So Did I Mention I Was Heading To Colombia In A single Week?
As if I haven’t belabored the point already, I’ll be heading to Colombia one week from right now (Tuesday, November 18th) for my now annual Thanksgiving holiday pilgrimage to South America where I can truly celebrate the meaning of Thanksgiving, which is, um, properly I’ll get back to you.
Of course, although I’m down there I’ll be blogging each and every step of the way, from my arrival into Bogota, to my next stop in Cartagena, as well as my side-trip to the famed Tayrona National Park (as seen above). So be sure to check in beginning subsequent Wednesday to stick to along. For a tiny preview, here’s a wonderful photo essay by National Geographic Traveler from their recent feature story on Colombia.
As I’m typing I’m starting to consider of issues I will need to do ahead of I go:
1) Quit being sick. Why do I come down with a cold just about every three months in New York? Why do cold germs in NYC appear to acquire superhuman powers and why do I succumb to their evil techniques?
two) Buy a travel alarm clock. I’ve gone via two in the previous year alone. The initial lasted a excellent two days prior to crapping out. The second weighed a lot more than most typical barbells and went off at random occasions all through the day — and of course inevitably each and every time I was boarding a plane.
three) Open a Capital 1 bank account. Did you know they don’t charge charges for ATM withdrawals in other nations? Now if I could only convince them to pay me a charge every single time I utilized an ATM I could almost certainly finance this entire trip.
