Our Luxury Lodge at Ant’s Hill, South Africa
After around 24 hours of flying and airport stopovers, followed by a 3 hour minibus journey, we finally arrived in South Africa! We flew from Manchester to Dubai, had some amazing sushi at the airport, and then flew to Johannesburg. I felt dreadful but was so excited to be in South Africa. We were staying at a lodge in a reserve called Ant's Hill in an area called Vaalwater. Vaalwater is to the North East if South Africa, 3 hours north of Johannesburg. We were going to stay here for 1 week and had booked a luxury lodge called 'Hideaway'. Our lodge was beautiful. I think the pictures speak for themselves! As well as luxurious lodges in Waterberg, there are some wonderful campsites as well that you can stay at.
